CadQView

CadQView is a free viewer for quilt and AutoCAD© files. You may download the installer package here or from the SewIconz webpage. It is stand-alone software developed by S & S Computing that allows viewing and printing of individual quilt and CAD files. It can convert quilt files to HQF (HandiQuilter), PLT, and CAD (DXF) formats, as well as to Melco© EXP format.

EmbLetters

EmbLetters is free software which allows you enter pre-digitized lettering from your keyboard. It is installed as part of the SewWhat-Pro embroidery editor product package or may be downloaded as a standalone application here. View the video below (full screen is available for greater detail) to learn how to add pre-digitized fonts and save embroidery lettering using EmbLetters.

Thred

Thred is a versatile digitizing program developed by Thredworks. It may be downloaded here with their permission. Use Thred to create a new embroidery pattern which can then be imported into SewWhat-Pro for further editing. The Thred manual is available here.

Below are embroidery designs (zipped) that have been created with the SewArt digitizer and originate from royalty-free ClipArt. You are welcome to download and use any of these designs for non-commercial purposes. SewArt users may contribute their original embroidery designs for free distribution here by sending them to support@sandscomputing.com.
